Deborah lippmann fall 2015 collection review 0
"This fall, Deborah Lippmann encourages you to stand up, to speak out, to ROAR. With four brand new nail lacquers, this collection evokes feminine strength and echoes the united voice of women everywhere. Inspired by the rebirth of female empowerment (equal rights, equal opportunity and female solidarity) and iconic leaders like Grace Jones, Madonna, and Cher, Deborah specifically designed these show-stopping shades to represent that power with color. From the discerning She Wolf and the boardroom dominating Miss Independent, to the brick red that demands Respect and glittery bronze that Can't Be Tamed, this collection is for the bold woman who has something to say and won't stop until she's heard.
Embrace your strong and expressive side with these new full coverage shades previewed at the Badgley Mischka A/W 2015 Runway show" according to the press release.
The four shades that comprise the Deborah Lippmann Fall 2015 Roar Collection include:
Respect: a burnt crimson red creme A 1 Coat Wonder! Incredibly pigmented. [brick red creme]
Miss Independent: an eggplant purple creme. [berry wine creme]
Can't Be Tamed: a yellow gold glitter in a sheer mocha brown base. Also has hints of holographic glitter particles scattered throughout. [holographic honey gold]
She Wolf: a creamy taupe with slight lavender undertones. Incredibly pigmented. Had excellent coverage in even a single coat. [taupe creme]
(all swatches shown here are two coats, and are taken outdoors in natural light).
I absolutely Love this collection. Yet again Deborah hit the ball out of the park. I think all 4 colors are winners and are shades customers would definitely request.
The pigmentation and formula on all four colors was excellent. I didn't experience any issues whatsoever with any of them. If anything I was surprised at how incredibly well saturated in pigment they were. Very smooth and creamy, and super easy to paint and work with.
My personal favorites include She Wolf and Can't Be Tamed.
This collection is limited edition and is available now. The suggested retail price is $18 each, with Can't Be Tamed retailing at $20. The bottles are .5 fl oz 15 mL.
They're available online at http://www.deborahlippmann.com/ , and at Barneys New York, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Sephora stores nationwide.
