"Slip into something more natural looking with the new Nudetrals Colour Collection- a sensual array of nude shades to compliment all skin types. Expose your inner fashionista while adding sparkle to your natural beauty with fine mica elements that will amplify the bare essentials of the holiday season. Revealing, soft and subtly erotic this collection is the perfect way to undress from the dark shades of the Fall season and help you uncover your passion and love of colour" according to the press release.
The Winter 2015 Nudetrals collection from Cuccio includes the following shades:
Nude-a-Tude: a creamy mauve. [medium tan with nude shimmer and pink base]
Skin to Skin: a light pink nude cream. [light tan with nude shimmer]
Fair Game: a solid white with a pink iridescent pearly shimmer running through it. [opal white]
Olive You: a light greenish gold with tiny iridescent flecks in it. [gray with gold shimmer and green tone]
Sun Kissed: a super fine glittery copper. [medium tan with gold shimmer]
Blush Hour: a super fine glittery rose. [salmon pink with gold shimmer]
Oh Naturale: a light beige cream. [taupe with silver shimmer]
Grey's Anatomy: a super fine glittery gray. [gray with gold shimmer and blue tone]
(all swatches shown here are two coats, cured each for 30 seconds in an LED lamp).
I really love this entire collection. You really can't go wrong with various shades that compliment skin tones. Cuccio went above and beyond doing simple creamy nudes, and included many super fine glittery shades in the collection I also adore. I believe it's fine mica that gives off their glowing allure, so its a bit different from your conventional glitters. Even the creamy flesh tones in this collection feature a microscopic shimmer in them, that you can really only notice if you look super closely. Nonetheless, it adds a brilliant shine to the shades.
As far as the formula is concerned, I didn't have any issues with any of the colors, and I also didn't experience any difficulties such as unevenness or brushstrokes.
My personal favorites from the collection include: Fair Game, Sun Kissed, and Olive You.

"This fall, the perfect nude is right at your fingertips with deborah lippmann's new Undressed- Shades of Nude collection, a six-piece set featuring an array of nude shades in fashion-size nail lacquers. A subtle twist on the classic nude, each creamy shade is as versatile as it is elegant, proving that au-natural is the new glam. Taking it back to basics, Deborah was inspired by a no- makeup makeup approach for nails with a clean, chic finish. Contrary to the nudes of the past, there is no one-shade fits all proposition; Deborah expertly developed each color to flatter any skin tone for a graceful, polished look.
Unveil your sophisticated side with these new full coverage nudes: Flesh for Fantasy, an alabaster nude creme, Totally Nude, a fair pink nude creme, Born this Way, a peach nude creme, are it all, a mauve nude creme, Natural Woman, an almond nude creme, and Skin Deep, a sable nude creme previewed at the Donna Karan A/W 2015 runway show" according to the official press release.
The six shades that comprise the Undressed- Shades of Nude collection include:
Flesh For Fantasy: an ivory cream beige.
Totally Nude: a ballet slipper light pink creme.
Born This Way: a light carnation pink creme, has a slight peach undertone.
Bare It All: a mauve cream, with lavender undertones.
Natural Woman: a tan sun-kissed deep nude creme.
Skin Deep: a light mocha brown cream.
(all swatches shown here are two coats).
I think this is such a delightful kit Deborah has put together. I too agree that not all nude shades are made for everyone, just like all foundations aren't made for everyone universally. This kit also makes the perfect gift!
If you don't find the shade perfect for you, you can always mix two shades by layering, and come up with something totally unique. I would recommend first layering the darker of the two shades first, followed by applying the lighter color on top.
The collection is available now, and retails for $34. The set comes with all 6 shades, and are
.27 fl oz (8 mL).

"Canadian based Akzentz Professional Nail Products releases New & Fall Winter 2015 shades of Gel Play available through Authorized Distributors October 2015.
Gel Play changed the nail art industry when it first debuted summer 2014 and continues to lead with innovative nail art technology in the marketplace. These highly pigmented LED and UV curable gels have a thick consistency that mimic artistic paints making them perfect for detailed hand painted artwork.
The Fall & Winter 2015 release includes four new Glitters: Cherry Red, Golden Nugget, Green Glitz and Platinum Quartz as well as two new Paints: Hot Pink and Raw Sienna.
“The product follows our history of 100% gel, solvent-free products,” affirms Akzentz President Sandra Haigh, “It continues our legacy of being made in Canada with only North American and European ingredients.”
The Gel Play line now boasts 14 paints with heavily pigmented solid colours, 14 vibrant Glitters, six sparkling Glitter Shifters that shift their tone depending on the base colour, wildly popular Bling-On an extra strong bonding gel that stays put for attaching embellishments and Glitter-Me, a clear and light consistency gel base perfect for adding glitter powders already owned" according to the official press release.
Now I don't have the entire Fall Winter 2015 line to share with you. I do however have some shades from each of the lines.
OPTIONS (soak off gel polish in a pot) [4 g / 0.14 oz]
Ocean Peal (Chameleon): blue/purple duo chrome. The shade shifts depending on the angle, or light refraction. I am beyond obsessed with this color! My personal favorite. An absolute must! Very unique as well.
Moody Sunset (Chameleon): silver/purple duo chrome. The shade also shifts depending on the angle, or light refraction.
French Blue: a deep royal peacock blue creme.
(all swatches are 2 coats, cured each for 30 seconds in an LED lamp).
GEL PLAY PAINT (hyper pigmented potted gels for art work) [4 g / 0.14 oz]
Hot Pink: a hot vibrant neon Barbie pink creme.
Glitter Cherry Red: a fine glitter crimson red.
Glitter Platinum Quartz: a shiny silver chrome.
(because it's Halloween time, my most favorite holiday, I swatched these gel paint shades by creating spider webs. These are very easy to do using Gel Paints, and I don't even need to flash cure between painting all the lines. I just cure it all at once after the painting is completed, which ultimately saves you lots of time.)
LUXIO (gel polish in a bottle) [15 mL / 0.5 oz]
Mirage: a micro fine silver glitter with flecks of purple and red. I used three coats to make this fully opaque, primarily because the glitter is super micro fine.
Celebrate: a beautiful bold lavender creme.
Rebel: a burnt cranberry red creme.
(unless stated otherwise, all swatches shown here are two coats, cured each for 30 seconds in an LED lamp).
I must honestly say I am truly impressed with Akzentz continual innovation. I feel that every season they out do themselves and come out with something so amazing. In this case, my personal obsession is with the new chameleon Options color shifting gels in Moody Sunset & Ocean Pearl. I hope that Akzentz continues forward and introduces many more shades in the future featuring this awesome technology.
I think as all whole the colors are all wonderful. I didn't experience any issues whatsoever with the formulas.
As always, the smell is incredibly minimal with Akzentz products, which both me and my clients Love and appreciate. The less harmful smells in my book the better.

Yesterday I had the honor of attending a fabulous presentation from world renowned crystal Mecca Swarovski. Their latest Fall Winter 2016 collection, titled "Power to Shine," incorporates French haute couture fashion designer Jean Paul Gautier. Some of the latest crystal innovations include: crystal embedded fabric, a four-holed crystal button, and a new crystal effect sheen that resembles a scarab beetle and its many colors.
The afternoon could not be complete without an OPI accent nail art using their latest collection Starlight, coming soon for Holiday 2015, coupled with Swarovski crystals of course.
Check out some of my pics from the event in the gallery.
Discover the beauty of the Arctic tundra with the New Holiday 2015 Aurora collection from CND. Colors crystallize into shimmering frozen pastels and surreal glacial hues.
This holiday season, nail trends capture a crystalline essence with icy, glistening finishes," says CND co-founder and style director Jan Arnold. "Shapes range from elegantly slender almond to naturally subtle square, with shimmer that evokes the glint of sun setting across the snow." according to the official press release.
The four colors that comprise the CND Holiday 2015 Aurora Collection include:
Winter Glow: a pastel soft pink creme.
Tundra: a metallic strawberry milkshake pink. Paints on smoothly without any brush strokes.
Nordic Lights: a semi sheer purple with iridescent glitter particles in it. I personally was a little disappointed in this shade mainly because it doesn't provide enough coverage. It's three coats here in the images and it's still transparent. It is however really pretty, I just don't particularly like sheer shades. But, could be an excellent color to layer with, or for ombre designs.
Glacial Mist: an icy light blue packed with sparkle and silver glitter to give it tons of dimension.
(all swatches shown here are two coats, unless stated otherwise, and are taken outdoors in natural light).
For the most part I am super pleased with this latest collection from CND. Although its difficult for me in 80+ degree Los Angeles to wrap my head around the cool holiday season, this collection certainly helped paint a pretty picture.
I think CND has definitely stepped out of their comfort zone this season and introduced some really gorgeous glitters and dimensions to the line.
I didn't have any issues with the formulas.
My personal favorite shades are: Glacial Mist & Tundra.
Shellac retails for $15.95 per 7.3 mL (.25 fl oz) bottle. And Vinylux weekly polish retails for $10.50 per 15 mL (.5 fl oz) bottle.

"Lights? Check/ Sound? Check. Inspiring colors? You're on! Taking center stage this season is essie's fall 2015 collection inspired by iconic rock'n'roll royalty. Fashioned after the darlings music scene, the collection captures the era's rebellious spirit and style that made it famous. From the fierce attitude to the fashionable clothes, it's all about the perfectly stylish queen of the entourage that everyone on the a-list wants or wants to be. Rule number one: if you want to be a muse, dress for success.
the six compelling shades of essie's fall 2015 collection capture the powerful allure of the ingenues of the classic rock era with intensely saturated hues. Deep red smolder with brazen beauty, midnight blue wields hypnotic power and shimmering bronze emerges from the night and onto the dance floor. Mix major attitude with killer style and seize the moment in shades tailor made to rock" according to the official press release .
The essie fall 2015 collection is comprised of the following shades-
With the Band: a dark cranberry brick red creme. Heavily pigmented. Essentially a 1 Coat Wonder! [toasted spice burgundy]
Color Binge: a firey orange creme with red undertones. incredibly pigmented. a 1 Coat Wonder. [burning red orange]
Bell- bottom Blues: a shimmering metallic dark blue. a 1 Coat Wonder. In the bottle there's a slight purple shimmer, but it doesn't quite translate to the nail once painted. [intense midnight indigo]
Frock 'n roll: a dark espresso brown shimmer. a 1 Coat Wonder. [shimmering rich espresso]
In the Lobby: a rich eggplant aubergine creme. [exotic cinnamon plum]
Leggy Legend: a coppery metallic bronze. [alloyed bronze bombshell]
(all swatches are two coats, and are taken outdoors in natural lighting.)
I really like this latest collection from Essie. I think the colors are all beautiful and very fitting for the season. There is something for everyone.
Aside from the gorgeous hues, I am most impressed with the formula. I don't think I have ever come across a collection that is so richly pigmented. What I mean by that is with even one coat, you essentially have full and complete coverage. Many of the shades you can honestly get away with applying only one coat; saving you tons of time, product, & ultimately $$.
My personal favorites from the collection include: Frock 'n roll, Color Binge, and Leggy Legend.
essie's fall 2015 collection is out available now, & retails for $8.50 per .46 fl oz (13.5 ml) bottle.

Enter the Golden Era: a light butterscotch gold metallic. [this pearly gold ushers in the Age of Glam]
(all swatches shown here are two coats, and are taken outdoors in natural light)
I must say OPI is usually on the forefront when it comes to technology, but when it comes to their version of a gel-like nail lacquer I must say I'm slightly disappointed. 🙁
Most other brands already on the market offering a similar product do so without needing a Base Coat. Also, most other gel-like polishes on the market dry in half of the time of a regular polish manicure, 8 minutes as opposed to 15. This system makes no claims with regards to a possible faster drying time.
Instead, the product boasts itself on lasting for 10 days, but I personally don't test polishes for their lasting wearability. There are so many different factors involved that can cause a polish to chip, so when I write my blog reviews I mainly do so discussing the formula, the color itself, and any issues I might have experienced while using it.
As for the colors themselves, I think this is a very pretty collection, and is definitely wearable. These are shades clients would request repeatedly.
I found the formula to be good across the board. I didn't experience any issues. The polishes painted on smoothly and evenly, just like a conventional nail polish does.
My personal favorite shades from the collection include: S-ageless Beauty, The Sun Never Sets, and Purpletual Emotion.
The OPI Infinite Shine Lacquers retail for $12.50 per .5 fl oz 15 mL bottle.
