"Turn up your boom box this summer, it's time to start feelin' the beat on the street! Introducing Gelish and Morgan Taylor's bold and eye-catching array of bright colors for the summer 2016- the Street Beat collection. The collection includes six new shades: from a striking coral, to a powerful pink pearl, and a fierce teal, to a wild style yellow-orange creme.
"We were inspired by the artistic expression of street art and hip hop for this collection," says CEO and founder of Gelish and Morgan Taylor, Danny Haile. "Each bright shade resonates with inspiration and expressiveness. From energetic, upbeat pinks to a must-have pastel lilac, every shade is trendy from the runway to the streets." according to the official press release.
The Street Beats Summer 2016 collection includes:
B-girl Style: a neon bubble gum pink creme. [neon pink pearl]
Street Cred-ible: a bright nacho cheese orange creme. Took 3 coats for full opacity. [orange/yellow creme]
Cou-tour the Streets: a light pink creme with slight lilac undertones. [lilac creme]
Tag, You're It: a bold neon magenta shimmer. [fuchsia pink pearl]
Give me a Break-dance: a more green leaning teal with slight shimmer running through it. Took 3 coats for full opacity. [teal pearl]
Hip Hot Coral: a bright coral/pink hybrid shimmer. Took 3 coats for full opacity. [hot coral pearl]
(all swatches shown here are 2 coats of the Gelish Minis, unless stated otherwise, cured for 30 seconds each in an LED lamp, and are taken outdoors in natural light).
What I love and enjoyed most about this collection is how fun, bold, and bright the colors all are. What I didn't love about this collection is the lack of pigmentation. As gorgeous as the colors are, half of them required 3 coats in order to become fully opaque. The main downside to three coats is the time required for application. If your clients aren't in a hurry, or if you don't have clients booked up back-to-back than it shouldn't be an issue.
My personal favorites include: Give me a Breal-dance, Tag, You're it, and Street Cred-ible.
The Street Beat Collection from Gelish MINI and Morgan Taylor will be available for a limited time in May 2016. Gelish MINI is available at Sally Beauty Supply stores and http://sallybeautysupply.com/ for $13.99 per bottle and Morgan Taylor is available at https://www.morgantaylorlacquer.com/ for $9 per bottle.
"Become a polished warrior as fast as lightening. In conjunction with DreamWorks Animation's release of Kung Fu Panda 3, Morgan Taylor and Gelish MINI introduce the Kung Fu Panda Collection. Find your favorite feminine hue amongst our six flirty colors to welcome Mei Mei- the fearless and fun-loving, ribbon-dancing panda. With varying, vibrant shades, take on theaters with style and spunk.
"For this collection we wanted to create a color palette around the new character Mei Mei in the movie," Taylor Daniel from the brands expresses. "She's courageous and bursting with personality. We wanted to bring that to life, and drew inspiration from her colorful, eye-catching ensemble flowing with red, purple, pink and other vivacious shades." Morgan Haile from the brands adds," according to the official press release.
The Kung Fu Panda Collection includes the following shades:
Warriors Don't Wine: a warm purple plum creme. [plum creme]
Extra Plum Sauce: a medium purple with a pink shimmer to it. [amethyst pearl]
Po-riwinkle: a light lilac creme. [light periwinkle cream]
Tigress Knows Best: a cherry red creme. [hot red creme]
It's Gonna be Mei: a metallic magenta pink. [rose pearl]
Kung Fu-chsia: a metallic fuchsia. [bright fuchsia pearl]
(all swatches shown here are 2 coats of the Gelish MINI, cured each for 30 seconds in an LED light, and are taken outdoors in natural light).
Overall I really like this collection. I think the colors are fun, girly, very wearable and are shades clients would definitely request. Although I have never seen any of the Kung Fu Panda films, I can already see the inspiration transpired in these colors.
I didn't have any problems with the formulas. They each painted on smoothly and evenly.
I'm not the only one who is a fan of this collection; my 3 month old maltipoo BooBoz stole the print ad from me and had a grand ol time.
"Kung Fu Panda 3, will be opening in theaters on January 29, 2016. The Kung Fu Panda Collection from Morgan Taylor and Gelish MINI will be available for a limited time beginning January 2016. Morgan Taylor will be sold at select salons nationwide and at http://morgantaylorlacquer.com/ for $8.50 per bottle and $14.95 for the 4-piece mini pack. Gelish MINIs will be sold at Sally Beauty Supply Stores and http://www.sallybeauty.com/ for $13.99 each."
"Stand out this season with nails dressed to the nines in Gelish MINI Red Matters Holiday 2015 Collection. This winter, Gelish MINI introduces six stunning reds- two NEW colors and four classic shades. Turn nails into a must-have accessory for every holiday party. From flashy bright to darling chunky glitter, everyone will find a perfect match in this collection, which is all that matters!
"Red is such an iconic and classy color, so this season we wanted to capture that with a special collection that includes different finishes," says CEO and Founder of Gelish, Danny Haile. "With our definitive palette, anyone can find the perfect red that will instantly become their favorite," according to the official press release.
The Gelish MINI Red Matters Holiday 2015 Collection includes the following shades-
Good Gossip: a super fine cranberry red glitter. (red glitter)
Man of the Moment (new): a strong classic crimson red creme with blue undertones. (ruby red creme)
I'm so Hot (new): a deep red shimmer. Not quite a vampy red, but a deep blue/red. (burgundy shimmer)
Life of the Party: a multi-sized red glitter. (chunky red glitter)
Hot Rod Red: a classic bright cherry red creme. (bright red creme)
Queen of Hearts: a red with blue undertones in a shimmering finish. (red frost)
(all swatches shown here are two coats, and are cured for 30 seconds each in an LED light, and are taken outdoors in natural lighting).
Tis the season, and I don't possibly see how one could go wrong with this collection. Red is probably the most requested color I get, aside from nude, and this collection physically offers something for everyone, even the pickiest of clients. Regardless of age, young or old, there is a shade of red and finish in here to delight everyone from chunky fun glitters, to glittering shimmers, to classic cremes.
My personal favorites are: Life of the Party & I'm So Hot.
The Gelish MINI Red Matters Collection is available now for a limited time, at Sally Beauty Stores, and online here: http://www.sallybeauty.com/. They retail for $13.99 per 0.3 fl oz (9 mL) bottle.
"Cowgirl up with big city style this fall. It's time to saddle up and wrangle in a style statement this season. Morgan Taylor and Gelish MINI's Urban Cowgirl Collection for fall 2015 is kicking with daring to soothing, rustic colors. From a gorgeous earthy green creme to a standout, stunning pink with a pearl finish, each shade was created for the strong, sophisticated woman with a spirit that's wild at heart.
"We wanted to capture the essence of a fearless, modern woman, whether she is a cowgirl who loves the city lifestyle, or a city girl with a country side." namesakes Morgan Haile and Taylor Daniel express. "With this theme in mind, we immediately thought of an earth tone color palette. The wide range in this collection will complement any lifestyle this fall." according to the press release.
The new colors comprising the Urban Cowgirl Collection include:
Pumps or Cowboy Boots?: a rich deep dark brown creme with purple undertones. [black/brown creme]
From Rodeo to Rodeo Drive: a grayed out purple creme with a very subtle shimmer to it. [taupe creme. a Gelish MINI exclusive]
Tex'as me Later: a shimmering splendid light raspberry pink. [copper/pink pearl]
Holy Cow-girl!: a sage green creme with shimmer in it. [sage green creme]
Tan my Hide: a milky beige creme with shimmer. [pale nude creme]
Plum Tuckered Out: a dark purple grape creme. [plum creme]
**A Touch of Sass: a deep darkened cranberry red creme. [dark red creme. Morgan Taylor exclusive]
(unless otherwise stated, all swatches shown here are of the Gelish MINI shades, and are two layers, cured each for 30 seconds in an LED lamp, and are taken outdoors in natural lighting).
I have to say this is the first collection for Fall 2015 I have reviewed, and I must say I am very pleased. I think this is a gorgeous color palette, that I honestly want to start offering my clients right now, despite the fact it's summer and a million degrees outside. This collection is so wearable and classic, & consists of colors your clients are going to be obsessed with and receive countless complements on.
I found the formulas on both the gel polishes and the nail lacquers to be excellent, providing me complete and full coverage in two smooth coats.
I also really like the fact that Gelish and Morgan Taylor are coordinating their collections colors, so clients can have matching hands and toes if they so desire. Helps take all the grunt work out of trying to match up the colors just right.
My personal favorite shades include: From Rodeo to Rodeo Drive, and Tan my Hide, and Tex'as me Later.
"Grab a lasso and roundup the Urban Cowgirl fall collection from Gelish MINI and Morgan Taylor, which will be available for a limited time beginning August 2015. Gelish MINI is available exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply stores, and http://www.sallybeautysupply.com/ for $13.99 per bottle and Morgan Taylor is available at http://morgantaylorlacquer.com/ for $8.50 per bottle."
"Hello Pretty! Summer 2015. Charming colors that make you stop and stare. Looking to redifine summer style with bright neons packed with a vivacious attitude? No need to fret, Gelish and Morgan Taylor are here to answer the call with their Hello Pretty! Summer 2015 Collection. With six radiant colors from bright bubblegum pink to candy-coated pastel green, any pick will add an extra layer of pop.
"When we were developing this collection, we wanted to have colors that were powerful and playful," said CEO, Danny Haile. "We immediately thought of Japanese fashion. From nail art to street style, every detail is bursting with color and personality. This collection is packed with vivid colors full of character and distinction and is a must-have for a statement style this season" according to the press release.
The Hello Pretty! Summer 2015 Collection for both Nail Lacquer Morgan Taylor and Gel Polish Gelish include the following shades:
Look at You, Pink-achu!: a bright bubble gum pink creme. (bubblegum pink neon creme)
Tokyo a Go Go: a bold medium purple with slight pink undertones. (light purple neon creme)
Pop-arrazi Pose: a neon watermelon pink creme. (hot pink neon creme)
Do You Harajuku?: a light mint green creme with a subtle shimmer going through it. (mint green creme)
Anime-zing Color!: a bold deep majestic purple creme. (dark purple neon creme)
Manga-round with Me: a hot coral pink creme. (coral neon creme)
(all swatches are two coat, and are taken outdoors in natural sunlight.)
I think this is a great collection overall, very pretty and playful. I really like the fact that the colors pop on their own, without the need of a white base coat, like some other neon shades. Because they are neon, I highly recommend using a top coat to finish off your look, specifically with the Morgan Taylor nail lacquers. If you don't use a top coat with these neons, the color can fall somewhat flat.
I didn't experience any issues in application. All of the polishes and gel polishes applied smoothly and evenly, in two coats.
My personal favorites include: Anime-zing Color!, Manga-round with me, and Do you Harajuku?
The Hello Pretty! Collection from Gelish and Morgan Taylor will be available starting May 2015 at select distributors.

Hey guys. I hope you all had a great weekend, I know I sure did.
This past weekend was ISSE, the International Salon and Spa Expo in Long Beach California, held at the Long Beach Convention Center.
I started the first of 3 days off with a bang, having a VIP Media meeting with Jan Arnold, co-founder and style director for CND. I was so honored to find out I was her first appointment of the day!! Go Team Merricures!! I absolutely adore Jan, her passion, knowledge, and charisma I find to be both infectious and inspiring. She walked me through a wonderful presentation of both Spring and Summer 2015 Shellac and Vinylux collections. She also told me about a brand new revolutionary product launching next month, that I can’t wait to share with you all (trust me, I wasn’t leaving that meeting without a bottle of it). Jan was also very eager and proud to mention CND U, an online forum for nail education, had proudly launched.
We gabbed about New York Fashion Week and all of the amazing collaborations CND does with various designers, including: Libertine, Opening Ceremony, The Blonds, etc. Because we are both so passionate about fashion I had to take a break from nails and quiz Jan on her amazing fashion sense. I had to know who are her favorite designers. I was very surprised at how quickly and proudly she responded: 1. Comme Des Garcons (because they are never trendy). 2. Libertine (because of their unique perspective). and 3. Simone Rocha: (her latest obsession from London).
Then it was off to the show. The show didn’t begin on Saturday until 1 pm, and I unfortunately had to work an event on the other side of town in the early evening, so I was only able to stick around for 2 hours that day. Needless to say, the adrenalin rush of frantically running around trying to have catch up conversations with friends and colleges was a bit of a challenge. I did manage however to have a couple demos done at Young Nails and Akzentz.
While getting a demo, I spotted 3 of the lovely contestants from the hit nail reality show “Nail’d It”, including Ashley Craig, the 1st place winner, who received $100,000! They are all so great and sweet.
The next day, Sunday, was much better and more relaxed. I had a full day to properly catch up with a majority of my friends, and get some really cool demos done, including from Britney Tokyo and Natalie Minerva (of Nail Swag) at the Nail Labo booth.
I must admit I’m not the only one who was excited to get a demo done by these ladies. People were aggressively lining up and causing a stir at the Nail Labo booth because everyone was so excited and needed to purchase the exact products the girls were using to create their remarkable designs.
But when you see the kind of art these incredibly talented ladies do you understand why there was such a commotion/line. In addition to promoting Nail Labo products, which are of the highest quality, all made and imported from Japan, the girls were promoting their latest endeavor, a 6 piece line of highly pigmented gels specifically made for doing nail art, called Tokyo Swag. I’ve got some to review for you all, but more on that a little later.
I also had the honor of meeting the top 3 finalists of NAILS Magazine’s Next Top Nail Artist Contest Lexi Martone, Lavette Cephus, and Danielle Costantino. The girls were all so lovely and humble despite their immense creative talent. I was lucky enough to have a demo performed by Lavette Cephus (who was later announced that evening as the winner).
I couldn’t get over how cool Lexi Martone’s Nails were.
This is Lavette working her magic on me-
Nonetheless, the girls are each so remarkably talented.
Sunday I also died when I met one of my idols, celebrity nail tech Kimmie Kyees. She was such a delight and a wonderful person, more so than I ever could have imagined. She even gave me a few pieces of advice on tips she has learned over the years.
I also got to spend some quality time with my favorite buddies over at INM. They filled me in on all the new awesome products they have added to their line, including 4 new multi-use pens, quick dry spray, and an expanded lacquer line.
Sunday evening, after the show ended, NAILS Magazine and CND hosted a wonderful cocktail party/awards ceremony at nearby Cafe Sevilla where the winner of the Next Top Nail Artist competition was announced. There were tons of nail industry guests in attendance, including Sam Biddle, Katie Cazorla, and Doug Schoon to name a few. The awards themselves were MC’d by Hannah Lee and Jan Arnold.
As you probably know by now, my girl Lavette Cephus won! She cried and was physically shaking. Once she calmed herself down she delivered a beautiful acceptance speech.
Monday was the last day of the show. A lot of people in the industry call this “Students Day;” lots of individuals training in beauty school, hair, or nails come. By this day, Akzentz was highly picked over, virtually sold out of most products; having to take down many orders to be filled later on. I honestly think they did the best out of all the nail companies exhibiting at the show as far as selling product is concerned.
New to the convention this year was an awesome multi-competition winning line from Hungary, Crystal Nails. They have been highly successful throughout Europe for the last ten years, and are making a splash Stateside, offering an incredible insane amount of colors. They make over 500 shades of each hard gel, gel polish, and acrylic. Some of the colors I saw were incredibly unique and oh so beautiful, and glitters for days in every shade of the rainbow and beyond.
All sorts of technological innovation including: color changing, chrome finish, magnets, and light refraction were being demonstrated by award winning and famous nail techs, including Classic Mully, who also appeared on Oxygen’s hit show Nail’d It. I was fortunate enough to have a demo with her, which she shared her incredible art technique with me using their ChroMe & Tiger Eye Crystalac gel polishes, painting the underside of my nail primarily.
Also new this year to the convention was The Nail Spot, a designated area for all things specifically nails related: hands-on and complimentary nail classes, creative nail demonstrations, and competitions.
Absent this year from the show were a few major brands, including Essie, Cuccio, and hair care giant Moroccanoil. I also noticed some companies downsized their booth, and in some cases significantly, as much as half. I do not know why, but I am sure they all have their reasons.
Overall the show was great. I had an incredible time, and highly recommend everyone experience the ISSE show at some point. It’s an experience not to be forgotten.

"This spring will be filled with magic and fantastical colors as Gelish MINI introduces the Cinderella 2015 collection. Celebrating Walt Disney Pictures' release of the new live-action Cinderella, the collection showcases a unique palette inspired by the movie to spark anyone's fancy. With six whimsical creme to sparkly shades and a trio of glitters from the TRENDS line, any pick is perfect to accent this season with charm and grace" according to the press release.
CEO and Creator of Gelish, Danny Haile says, "For this classic story, we really wanted to create an iconic selection. Drawing inspiration from the movie, we were inspired to develop colors and statement glitters in soft, playful shades for the collection."
The 6 main colors from the Cinderella Collection include:
Watch Your Step, Sister!: a vibrant magenta pink creme.
My Carriage Awaits: a peachy coral with subtle fine pink shimmer up close.
Party at the Palace: a Tiffany aqua blue with shimmer.
If the Slipper Fits: an icy blue with iridescent and holo glitters. A very unique shade. This reminds me most of Cinderella in the collection, and happens to be my favorite shade. Required three coats to make it opaque.
Ella of a Girl: a strawberry pink milkshake creme.
Live Like There's No Midnight: a deep blue with fine micro purple shimmer.
(all swatches shown here are 2 coats, unless stated otherwise).
And the three new TRENDS shades include:
Make it Fit: multi colored glitter in a clear base.
A Moment of Magic: mostly yellow gold glitter, with some white and pink glitter bits mixed in, all in a clear base.
Stepsisters Rule!: mostly red glitter, with some magenta and holo glitters mixed in, all in a clear base. This shade is Perfect for Valentine's Day.
(all TRENDS swatches are three coats to show color accurately).
Overall I think Gelish did an excellent job of curating a collection that embodies the classic fairy tale. There is honestly something in this collection for everyone. Some of the colors are highly unique, like If the Slipper Fits, but some are also just okay, like Ella of a Girl; I must have reviewed at least 6 other gel polishes that look like this. Nonetheless, I am a huge fan of the shimmer in a lot of the colors, like Party at the Palace, and Live Like There's No Midnight; it provides depth and dimension to the colors.
As far as the TRENDS are concerned, I think they're great. Layered they can be amazing on their own, or used as a top coat over another color, for some extra added oomph and pizzazz.
My personal favorites include: If the Slipper Fits, Stepsisters Rule!, I'll Make it Fit, and Party at the Palace.
Now that I have played around with this collection, I can't wait to see the film when it comes out March 13th.
In the meantime, this Cinderella collection of Gelish MINI's will be available for a limited time starting in February, and will be available at Sally Beauty Stores. They retail for $11.95 per .3 fl oz (9mL) bottle.

And until the film comes out, enjoy the trailer:
Hey everyone. Happy Hump Day!! I hope you are all doing fantastic.
I am very excited to introduce two revolutionary products from Gelish. Introducing VitaGel, the world's first ever light cured (either UV or LED) vitamin enriched soak- off gel designed to strengthen and grow your natural nails. Say goodbye to chips, splits, and peeling nails, and hello to stronger, healthier, more beautiful natural nails.
If you or your clients are anything like me, constantly changing their nails, damage inevitably sets in at some point. Despite the meticulous and extensive good care I take of my nails, because I am a blogger changing my nails on average 4 times a week, sometimes more, my nails take a very harsh beating. Because I also see clients, I typically avoid wearing nail polish on my fingers, and stick with soak off gel; coming in contact with as much polish remover as I do certainly doesn't help maintain my manicures.
There is now finally an answer to this problem.
The folks at Gelish have created VitaGel, a vitamin enriched soak-off nail strengthener gel in two unique formulas. Both are designed to promote conditioning of the natural nail for healthy and stronger nails, while helping manicures last longer and free from chips. VitaGel is said to help maintain a gel manicure for 14-21 days, and a polish manicure for up to 10 days!!
I've put both formulas to the test now for a week, one on each hand. I applied a thin layer and cured for 30 seconds in an LED lamp. I then painted my nails with nail polish.
STRENGTH: is made to help maintain natural nails. According to the press release, "Enriched with Vitamins A,E, & B5 to provide much needed nutrients to promote healthy nails. Designed to nourish and strengthen the natural nail. Helps gel polish and nail lacquer resist chipping for extended wear."
RECOVERY: is made for thin and damaged nails. " All the benefits of STRENGTH in a more concentrated formula for added durability. When applied on a weekly basis, fortifies and strengthens the natural nail to counteract stress and increase flexibility," according to the press release.
It's been a little over a week and I must say I am highly impressed with how my nails look and feel. Although yes there is some polish chipping, as evidenced in the pictures, I find it minimal, especially considering how much I use my hands. This week alone I have traveled on location to do nails on sets, I've done multiple clients' nails, cleaned my own house, and scrubbed my dishes. In general I am pretty hard on my nails and hands. Combined with the fact my nails see a lot of damage from all the product testing I have to do for the blog, I am really impressed with VitaGel.
I have been applying the STRENGTH formula to a couple of clients of mine, and they too claim they notice less chips in their manicure.
I personally saw less chipping and more physical strength in my nails with the RECOVERY formula. Although both VitaGels are great, I personally found the added extra strength from the RECOVERY formula more reassuring.
Overall, I think both VitaGel formulas are great, but if you have to chose just one, I recommend RECOVERY.
Gelish MINI VitaGel are available now for $20.99 each on SallyBeauty.com.

"This winter Gelish MINI is serving up an arctic storm of cool, shimmery colors that are fearless and bold. The Big Chill 2014 collection offers style-defining picks from a twist on a classic white to a seductive burgundy with subtle shimmers. With six rich, distinctive shades... nails will be ready to show off through any type of weather.
"I wanted to build a palette of colors that was bold, crisp, and awe-inspiring" explains CEO and founder Danny Haile. "For me, it was about creating a story around a mythical queen living in a majestic, winter wonderland. And, these intense and shimmery colors for this line-up will complement any wintry attire." according to the press release.
I personally haven't tried Gelish MINI's prior to this post, I am better familiar with the regular sized Gelish bottles. Nonetheless, Gelish MINI serves up .3 oz (9 mL) as opposed to the larger Gelish which is .5 oz (15 mL). Aside from the amount the main difference I found was in the application brush. On the MINI's, the brush length is significantly shorter, which I personally prefer; I feel it provides much greater control and precision. Also, the bottles are physically smaller, so they don't take up as much space on my nail wall racks. A Win Win!!
Now onto the collection itself.
The Big Chill Winter 2014 collection includes:
Call Me Jill Frost: a deep regal and royal purple shimmer.
I'm Snow Angel: a rich burgundy with fine gold shimmer.
Ice Skate, You Skate, We All Skate: a dark forest green shimmer with teal undertones.
Snowflakes & Skyscrapers: a mocha taupe with multi-colored fine shimmer.
The Big Chill: a pale elephant grey with a pearl shimmer.
My Jewels Keep Me Warm: a fun coppery glitter. It is not quite rose gold, if that's what you are thinking. It is more of a salmon pink shade in person. Took three coats to get fully opaque.
(all swatches shown here are two coats, unless stated otherwise).
Overall I really enjoyed this collection. I think the collection as a whole is delightful for this time of year. I also found all of the colors to be very work appropriate, yet still maintain some pizzazz. Many of the colors are very unique, and because this collection will only be around for a limited time, I highly recommend you pick up your favorite shades fast.
My personal favorites include: The Big Chill, Ice Skate, You Skate, We All Skate, and Snowflakes & Skyscrapers.
The Big Chill Collection is available for a limited time, for $13.99 a bottle, at Sally Beauty Stores.

"Celebrate this season with the Haute Holidays Collection, brought to you by Gelish. Whether you're sneaking kisses under the mistletoe, sipping your favorite bubbly or dreaming of sugar plum fairies, these six glamorous glitters and shimmers will keep your manicure shining all through the holidays," according to the press release.
The Gelish Haute Holidays Collection includes:
Your Sleigh or Mine?: a silver glitter with larger hexagonal blue and purple glitter pieces, all suspended in a clear base. This is the latest addition to the Gelish "Trends" collection.
Berry Merry Holidays: a deep dark shimmering and glittery berry.
Sugar Plum Dreams: a lighter semi sheer glistening raspberry shimmer.
Feeling Bubbly: the gold sister to "Your Sleigh or Mine?". a gold glitter with larger hexagonal blue and purple glitter pieces, suspended in a clear base. This is also a new addition to the Gelish "Trends" collection.
Kisses under the Mistletoe: a shimmering blue green fine glitter.
Here's to the Blue Year: a deep semi- sheer navy blue with multi sized blue glitter in it. I used three coats here for better coverage, although it covers well in two coats.
(all swatches shown here are two coats, cured each for 30 seconds in an LED light, and are sealed with Gelish "Top it Off". All swatch photos are taken outdoors in natural light.)
I was very surprised when I first came across this collection, for I had no idea companies were making a specific holiday oriented collection for gel polishes now. Much to my delight, I truly love this collection. I think the colors are very fun and holiday appropriate, without being too contrived or cheesy. I don't think these will be around for long, so make sure to pick yours up fast.

Introducing the latest collection from the folks at Gelish: "Get Color Fall Collection." Six new stylish shades that will serve as the perfect transition to the cooler fall months.
According to the press release, "Inspired by the season's changing palette, this collection features deep hues and rich pops of color reminiscent of beautiful fall landscapes and skies... will have you ready to break free from drab color and be captivated by the bold."
The Get Color Fall Collection includes:
Clean Slate: a concrete gray with blue undertones.
Berry Buttoned Up: a shimmering sparkling magenta with purple undertones.
Do I Look Buff?: a creamy nude with a subtle pink iridescent shimmer running through it.
Hello Merlot: a ravenous raspberry red.
Whose Cider You On?: a scintillating and sparkling mocha brown. A very unique shade I don't believe I have ever personally come across before!
Rake in the Green: a midnight blackened army green.
(each swatch shown here was 2 coats, cured each for thirty seconds in an LED lamp, and a top coat).
The formula was great, as per usual, and each shade covered completely in two coats. I read on a couple other sites that they used three thin coats, which you totally can do. I however felt I got complete coverage in only two.
Overall I am very impressed with this latest collection of Gelish shades. Normally fall collections tend to be a bit drab in my opinion, but this collection is definitely anything but that! There is a very nice range of colors offered here, literally something for everyone, whether your conservative, (Do I look Buff?), or more outgoing and artsy (Berry Buttoned Up).
My personal pics from this collection are: Do I Look Buff? and Whose Cider You On?

Introducing the latest collection of Gelish gel polish for Summer 2014, the "Colors of Paradise". I personally love and adore how vibrant the colors are. They are very topical and remind me of beaches far away on remote islands when one is on vacation. I highly recommend you pick up this collection!
The 6 piece collection includes:
Pacific Sunset: a hot neon pink.
Tahiti Hottie: a bright neon magenta purple.
Rub me the Sarong Way: a gorgeous bright teal.
Mail-Blue me Away: a rich cobalt blue.
Rockin' the Reef: a hot neon coral.
Lime all the Time: a hot neon lime green. My personal favorite color in the colleciton, and a very difficult color to come by in the gel polish realm.
(each swatch shown here is 2 coats, cured each for 30 seconds in an LED light.)

I recently tried some of the gre
at Gelish gel polish colors by Hand & Nail Harmony.
Carnival Hangover: a warm fuchsia.
Shake it till you Samba: a bright neon pink watermelon shade.
Gossip Girl: a dark fuchsia.
Strut your Stuff: a deep dark rich chocolate brown.
Hot Rod Red: a true pure perfect red shade.
Sweet Dream: a milky white sheer shade. Would be great for french manicures, or for clients who want a white washed look.
Simple Sheer: an incredibly sheer, virtually clear shade. There is a subtle light pink tinge to this essentially sheer clear shade. Makes the nail appear a healthy and with a slight rosy pink glow. Is ideal for clients who prefer a natural nail look.
Each swatch shown here is 2 coats, cured each for 30 seconds in an LED light.
