I am proud to introduce to my readers- Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer by Marc Jacobs.
The famed American Fashion House came out with a cosmetics line last summer, and it's been making quite the splash.
Each nail lacquer comes beautifully packaged in a small cardboard box, typical of most high end cosmetics. The bottles are highly unique, and come in a sideways ovular shape, which is said to be reminiscent of a smile. There is also a removable domed lid atop each bottle. The polish itself is 0.43 fl oz (13ml), is made in the UK, & retails for $18 a bottle, and at the moment comes in approximately 25 shades inspired by Marc Jacobs latest fashion collections. They are sold exclusively at Marc Jacobs boutiques, online, and at Sephora stores.
The colors displayed and swatched here include:
OUI!: a metallic high shine magenta. I usually find metallic polishes to be very streaky in formula, but this one was so smooth and delightful to work with. As evident in the pics, there are absolutely NO brush strokes or streaks in the swatch.
SNAP!: a bright traffic cone orange. One of the hottest and most in demand nail colors for this summer season.
ULTRAVIOLET: a deep bright violet purple.
LUX: a true chartreuse yellow cream. My personal favorite color out of these four reviewed. Also, chartreuse tends to be a very difficult color to come by in the nail polish world, so if you've been searching for one high and low, no need to look any further!
(each swatch shown here was 2 coats for full opacity, and a top coat).
Whether you own a salon, are passionate about painting your own nails, or are a huge fashionista, I highly recommend you check out Marc Jacobs Nail Lacquers for yourself. The formula is quite excellent, very smooth application, and easy to control, and the bottles are so unique and beautiful, and will definitely stand out and impress others in your polish collection.

Introducing for the first time ever in the US, Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics, 5 free tongue and cheek lacquer line hailing from Canada.
According to Cheeky Monkey, "We believe all women should feel free to express their personal edginess... Engage the cheeky side of things – you get the joke... Cheeky Monkey cosmetics are environmentally safe and 5 Free healthy. They are edgy and fun, but above all, high quality. Just like the women who wear them." All that goodness aside, the names of the colors are Insanely great, with even base coats and cuticle oil having clever double entendres like "Make me Moist" & "Wet Dream". As if the formulations and fun names weren't enough, each color has a detailed story describing its origins, along with a cocktail pairing!!
I met the owner of Cheeky Monkey Andrea Pahn, recently at the Pasadena Nails Only Show, and she is comparably as fun as her product line.
Some of the colors I reviewed include:
Camel Toe: a rich caramel coffee beige brown.
Raunchy Bitch: a deep metallic blue purple.
Cheap Whore: a sheer jelly red. Requires 3 coats to be more opaque.
Blue Room Ball Buster: a dark metallic navy blue.
(each of the swatches shown here was 2 coats for full opacity, with a top coat).

I am very proud and excited to present the world’s first and only “black diamond” polish to all of my readers. AZATURE is a family owned and operated diamond jewelry business, so these folks definitely know their stuff when it comes to stones. They’ve gotten into the polish market and are quickly proving they know what their doing in the nail sphere as well.
The line is the more affordable sister to their $1 million polish I have previously posted. These retail for $25 each, and in every single bottle is a real black diamond. As if that weren’t amazing enough, each color has it’s own special story printed on the back of the bottles.
Azature Black: a dark grey jelly base with black and silver glitter specks. Required 3 coats for good dark coverage. (The black diamond is the ultimate fine jewel. its combination of beauty, mystery, and sophistication make it a timeless luxury).
Azature Champagne: a micro fine orange, bronze, copper, and yellow gold glitters. (This shade is inspired by the sparkle of champagne diamonds. Subtle yet distinct, the gems are as celebratory as a glass of bubbly).
Azature Green: a rich sparkling emerald green. Required 3 coats to fully cover. (This shade is inspired by the green diamond, one of history’s most coveted gems, with astonishing depth and unmatched beauty).
Azature Blue: a gorgeous sparkling royal blue. Probably my most favorite out of this collection. (This shade is inspired by the blue diamond’s intensely hued shade, which symbolizes balance and inner strength).
Azature Red: a sparkling shimmering micro fine red glitter. (The shade is inspired by the red diamond, the worlds rarest diamond of all. Flaunt your power and make a bold, fearless statement with this extravagant luxury in a classic shade).
Azature Canary: a shiny yellow fine glitter. Almost looks like 24kt gold. Also one of my favorites in this collection, and is presently on my toes 🙂 (This shade is inspired by the canary diamond: a daring, unique choice that radiates glamour, light, and joy).
Azature Pink: a shimmering micro fine pale pink glitter. (This shade is inspired by the flirtatious and youthful pink diamond, this classically feminine shade offers the perfect balance of softness and sophistication).
Unless mentioned otherwise, all swatches shown above were 2 coats.

I recently got to try the awesome collaboration collection of celebrity manicurist Jin Soon Choi with hip fashion label tibi. The collection consists of 5 mineral shimmering shades, along with a quick dry matte top coat.
As a whole, each color is so beautiful and unique. I can’t even begin to compare them to any of the 500+ polishes in my collection. These truly take the cake!!
Not only are the shades beautiful, but they a applied perfectly smooth and covered completely in 2 coats.
Jasper: a shimmering deep burgundy red.
Mica: a holographic black. Reminds me of a 90’s hologram!! This is my personal favorite color in the collection. A MUST for any polish lover.
Obsidian: a creamy black chalked full or micro fine iridescent glitter particles.
Azurite: a shimmering navy blue.
Epidote: a shimmering deep dark olive green.
Matte Maker: a quick drying top coat that also applied very smoothly. Gave each of the colors a satin finish.
The polishes retail for $18 each.
