Artistic Nail Design 2015 Wedding Collection Review 0

"Sparkle and shine with fanciful colours in mind.  Artistic Colour Gloss 4 new wedding- worthy colours.

Freshen-up bridal mani colours with sophisticated shades with a touch of glam.  Artistic Nail Design's 2015 Wedding Collection- With This Bling, introduces 4 brand new colours that boast of femininity and flair.  From a dreamy pink to a classic pearl white, each shade will have nails for an unforgettable wedding day.

"For this wedding collection, I was inspired by the excitement of getting married- from the proposal to walking down the aisle.  Every shade in this collection is perfect for any bride-to-be," says Artistic Nail Design Executive VP and Creative Director, Alisha Rimando Botero.  With playful soft colours to a timless pearl white, any pick will accent any ring bling!" according to the press release.

With This Bling collection includes:

Mani of my Dreams: a light blue green mint creme. [celeste turquoise creme]

Always Right: a pale lavender creme, with a very subtle grey undertone. [wisteria creme]

Put a Ring on it: a shimmering white. [pearl white creme]

What a Girl Flaunts: a light carnation pink creme. [soft carnation creme]

(all swatches shown here are 2 coats, cured each for 30 seconds in an LED light, and are taken outdoors in natural sunlight).

I must say I am very pleased with this collection; I know it's somewhat small, but it makes for a gorgeous color palette for the spring season.  These colors are pretty timeless and classic in my opinion, and are shades customers will always come back to year after year.  For that reason alone, I highly recommend them.

I found the formulas on all be great, providing complete and smooth coverage in two coats.

My personal two favorite shades are- Put a Ring on It & Always Right

The With This Bling collection is out and available now for a limited time.

Artistic Nail Design’s 2015 Spring Collection Femme Florale Review

Artistic Nail Design’s 2015 Spring Collection Femme Florale Review 0

"This season, make an electrifying and vibrant statement with Artistic Nail Design's 2015 Spring Collection Femme Florale.  Inspired by an overload of fierce floral prints and exaggerated, oversized silhouettes storming the runway by high-fashion designers, the 4 brand new shades in the collection exude the essence of femininity and power."

"For this collection, I wanted to build a color palette that was stunning, bright and playful," says Artistic Nail Design VP & Creative Director, Alisha Botero.  "Each new shade is fresh and bursting with personality to complement any spring style," according to the press release.

The four colors that comprise the Femme Florale Collection include:

Budding Fixation: a bold medium blue creme.  The press release calls it a rich cornflower blue, but in my opinion its not nearly dusty enough to consider it cornflower.

Killer Stems: a bright grassy green creme.  Reminds me of a color I'd see in a video game from my youth, think Super Mario Bros.

Takes Tulips to Tango: a bright fiery coral creme.

Petal to the Metal: a vivid magenta creme.  The press release calls it lavender- pink orchid.

(each swatch shown here is two coats, cured each for 30 seconds in an LED.  All swatch pics are taken outside to depict accurate color.)

Overall I think this is a great collection.  I like that it's a small, only four colors, as opposed to other brands who make an unnecessary 12 colors per season; it gets way too redundant.

I find all of the colors to be very pretty, and highly pigmented.  I thought for sure I was going to have to use a white base in order to make Killer Stems pop, but it wasn't necessary in the slightest.

As far as the formula is concerned, I had zero issues: no brush strokes, pooling, or bleeding.  I personally Love the shades Takes Tulips to Tango & Killer Stems- I find them both beautiful and unique in the gel polish world.

The Femme Florale Collection is out and available now.  I highly recommend you go out and pick it up for yourselves.

Artistic Colour Gloss Holiday 2013 Collection

Artistic Colour Gloss Holiday 2013 Collection 0

I recently had the privilege of trying the brand new Artistic Colour Gloss Holiday 2013 Collection of various gold and glitter gel polishes from Artistic Nail Design.  I am obsessed with all 4 shades in this collection, and will definitely be a Favorite of many clients!!

Goddess: the perfect rose gold shade! Not many gel polish companies on the market make a rose gold color, and this one is gorgeous! It has a foil/shimmer finish to it, and applied very smoothly and effortlessly.

Gorgeous: a great light holiday yellow gold shade.  This too had a foil/shimmer finish, and applied smoothly.

Gold Digger: a fine light gold glitter, with hologram particles sparsely throughout, suspended in a clear gel base. Can be used on its own, or layered on top of any gel polish shade, for a glitter effect.

Glamorous: a multi-sized gold glitter suspended in a clear base.  This too can be used on its own, or as a top coat to any other shade.

Each swatch shown here is 2 coats, cured for 30 seconds each in an LED lamp.

Artistic Colour Gloss Winter 2013 Collection

Artistic Colour Gloss Winter 2013 Collection 0

I recently had the privilege of trying out the latest Artistic Colour Gloss Winter 2013 Collection of micro fine glitter/shimmer gel polishes from Artistic Nail Design.  The colors in this 4 piece collection are all wonderful, and would be great to offer your clients.

Sinful: a shimmering cranberry holiday red.

Loyal: a shimmering denim blue shade.

Envied: a shimmering solid green shade.  Out of the 4 colors in this collection this was the only shade that was slightly problematic for me.  This shade did not apply as smoothly as the other shades did, and I had some issued with improper curing and shrinkage.  Perhaps I just got a faulty bottle.  Nonetheless, I am still a big fan of the color, and find it very pretty.

Desired: a shimmering purple magenta shade.

Each swatch shown here is 2 coats, cured for 30 seconds each in an LED lamp.
